Vesteda appoints Michiel de Bruine as new COO
Vesteda has appointed Michiel de Bruine as chief operations officer effective 1 August 2024. In this role, Michiel will be responsible for asset and property management and will join Vesteda’s management team. The position had been vacant since 3 April due to the appointment of the then COO Astrid Schlüter as Vesteda’s new CEO.
Astrid Schlüter: ‘We are extremely pleased with Michiel’s arrival and are convinced that together with the team he will be able to make a valuable contribution to the achievement of our strategic goals, and in particular to the continued improvement of our financial and social returns and our tenant satisfaction.’
Michiel de Bruine bid farewell to Bouwinvest six months ago, after over 18 years with the company. He had been director of Dutch residential investments at Bouwinvest since 2007. Michiel de Bruine studied law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Michiel de Bruine: ‘My experience in property management and real estate asset management come together very nicely in this role. Vesteda is known to me as a professional organisation with an impressive residential portfolio. The ambitious goals, combined with their mission statement ‘At home with Vesteda’, which emphasises the value of all stakeholders, really appeals to me. So I am very much looking forward to being able to help steer this as COO’.
