Vesteda invests in 98 apartments and maisonettes in The Hague

In the Energiekwartier, just south of the bustling Regentessekwartier, Heijmans is realising 98 rental apartments for Vesteda. The complex called Regent II has different types of houses that vary in size from 55 to 149 m2. The two, three and four-room apartments and maisonettes have their own outdoor space and a storage room in the house. An indoor bicycle parking will be realised on the ground floor.

The Regent II design is by Geurts & Schulze. They took their inspiration from the adjacent Regentessekwartier. This is known as a lively neighborhood with large red brick mansions, lots of variety and surprising squares. The façades of Regent II are made of yellow and red bricks, with birdhouses incorporated in special patterns. The building blocks slope away in the center, creating a small square. As a tower, the Regent II is a beacon for the new neighborhood.

Pieter Knauff, director Acquistions: “We are very pleased with the acquisition of these affordable rental properties on the edge of the city center of The Hague, located in a place where Schilderswijk, Regentesse- and Zeeheldenkwartier come together. The location is characterized by its industrial past with the potential of an attractive urban living environment. A suitable addition to Vesteda's portfolio”.

In 2023, candidates can register via the Vesteda website to express their interest in one of the rental properties.
