Vesteda acquires 30 apartments in Purmerend

Summary

Vesteda and housing corporation Wooncompagnie have signed a purchase agreement for the residential complex De Ooievaar in Purmerend. The complex was completed in 2008 and is situated on the waterfront of the Where. It comprises 30 apartments and parking spaces and has been awarded energy label A.

The three and four-room apartments vary in size from 98m2 to 109m2 and are in the mid-priced rental segment of the liberalised rental sector. Every apartment has its own outdoor area and a separate storage space. The complex is located in a green environment with ready access to the city centre, public transport and various schools.

Nico Mol, director Acquisitions & Development: “We are interested in acquiring existing residential properties and in turnkey acquisition opportunities. The focus of our acquisition strategy is on the mid rental segment in the economically stronger regions of the Netherlands. Purmerend is very close to Amsterdam and the rents are very affordable. This makes De Ooievaar complex a small but high-quality addition to our portfolio.”
