Vesteda gives Dutch residential real estate investment market a score of 7.6

Residential real estate investor Vesteda today announces the launch of its Housing Market Indicator (HMI) for the Dutch residential real estate market. Vesteda says the HMI gives the current market conditions for residential real estate investors in the Netherlands a score of 7.6. The current score underlines the positive picture of the current market conditions. A number of favourable economic factors and housing market developments had a positive impact on the score. At the same time, there are a number of clear issues on the sustainability front and the position of tenants in the mid-rental segment.

Vesteda will now use the HMI to provide regular updates on the current situation in the residential real estate investment market on the basis of 12 critical factors. These updates will be based on economic and housing market developments, but also developments on the sustainability front and the situation of Dutch (housing) consumers. The HMI will also provide a reflection of the market for rental homes and the satisfaction of tenants in the important mid-rental segment of the housing market. This combination of factors, fully based on and supported by publicly available data, make this a unique indicator and a good reflection of the elements important to Vesteda as a residential investor and to other investors.

As the manager of the largest residential fund in the Netherlands, Vesteda believes it is important to increase the knowledge of the Dutch residential real estate investment market to improve overall transparency. Vesteda therefore wants to use the Housing Market Indicator to provide greater insight into the latest market developments and the most significant trends.
