Vesteda signs turnkey agreement for project in Purmerend

Vesteda has signed a turnkey agreement with Volendam-based contractor HSB for the acquisition of 84 rental apartments in Purmerend. The project is a BPD development located in the town’s Wheermolen neighbourhood. HSB has drawn up the technical plans for the project and is responsible for the realisation of the ‘Apollo’ apartment complex. Construction on Apollo is due to start in early December of this year and completion is expected early in the third quarter of 2018.

The complex will have 10 floors and includes two, three and four-room apartments with floor space of between 54 and 115 m2. All apartments have a south or south-east-facing balcony. All the apartments have reserved ground-level parking spaces, and storage spaces are located on the ground-floor of the complex. The apartments will be in the mid-rental segment. The apartments are within walking distance of the neighbourhood shopping centre and the station on the Amsterdam-Enkhuizen/Hoorn railway line.

Pieter Knauff, director Acquisitions at Vesteda: “We are very enthusiastic about this project. Apollo is an excellent complement to Vesteda’s existing portfolio in Purmerend. It is a high-quality apartment complex with spacious apartments and excellent outdoor areas. Purmerend is close to Amsterdam and is located in a very green area. The rental market for mid-segment apartments is strong in Purmerend.”
