Vesteda wins IPE Award Sustainability

Yesterday, Vesteda Residential Fund won the IP Real Estate Investor Awards in the category Best Use of Sustainability.

The award was handed over at the annual IP Real Estate Investor Forum & Awards, an international event to honour investors for performance, transparency and innovation within the real estate sector. The showcase IP Real Estate Awards were presented during a gala dinner the same evening on the day of the conference, in London. It is the first year that IP Real Estate has widened the remit of the awards beyond Europe-based investors, and winners reflect a more global coverage.

IP Real Estate works with leading industry professionals from across the industry to assess the entries to determine the winners of each Award. Once each judge has evaluated the entries in their categories they submit their scores to IP Real Estate. IP Real Estate then takes an aggregate of the scores to determine the winners of each award.

Luurt van der Ploeg, CFO of Vesteda to whom the price was handed over yesterday evening: “This award is an important award for Vesteda and confirms us again to be in a leading position in the area of sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The fact that sustainability becomes more and more important was also expressed in our nomination for Best Institutional Investor in de Benelux/France yesterday evening, on which we did not count for this year.” In this category Vesteda was announced to be second best and received an honorable nomination.

Profile of Vesteda
Vesteda is a property investment fund focused on the Dutch residential property sector. Vesteda invests capital of Dutch institutional investors (in particular pension funds). It has total invested capital of some €4.5 billion. The rental portfolio comprises about 26,000 residential properties. Vesteda’s portfolio is in its core areas in the Randstad region and the centre of the Netherlands.
